Matthias Schaub sent us this e-mail in October 2002:

looking through your photo gallery and the test report in the model magazine encouraged me to write you a few lines accompanied with photo´s of my TC-Piper.

I built this model in 1998 as a PA 18, it took about 500 hours. Reading the building instructions was a real pleasure, also the very good quality plans considerably eased building the model. The kit in no way conflicted with my very exacting quality demands.

To power my model I chose the ZG 23SL together with the stainless silencer #2577, which I have installed inside the fuselage. Later I added the intake bend #2587 to suck the air out of the fuselage. An all up weight of about 8 kg gives a realistic scale flying model.

The Piper is covered with ProfiCover. The colour scheme matches a full size Piper hangared on our flying field, which due to my second flying passion, I often had the ability to see from close up.

Flying wise, the Piper is what only can be described as a dream. All in all a very successful model, which distances itself with a wide margin from from other companies kits. Also, due to the very wide range of engine sizes available, everyone can fulfil his own, individual Piper dream.

Best regards,
